Description of the area surrounding the biotope: It is situated  north of South America continent. It is located on the Ocean share and very near to the equator. Therefore , the climate is not suitable for the life of any fish species however. İt can be said that dominant vegetation is tropical is tropical. Annual rainfall avarage of the region is 3000 mm. Annual temperature avarage is around 25 °c. The river starts from the border of Brazil, ıt passes through the hinterland of Guyana and it flaws into the Atlantic Ocean. River length is 630 miles.

Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope: The sand on the river‘s floor is beige. On the ground of the river., there are also small rocks whose colour are dominantly grey. Because of the fact that the river is in the is in the forest, a large part of the floor is covered with tree leaves. At the same time, in the water there are many tree branches and tree roots extending along the river. The waters colour is dark.

Description of the parameters of the habitat: The water’s colour is dark. the average temperature is 24°c. ph-value varies from 6.1 to 7.4 depending on the season.
