Description of decorations: Small river sand – mix white and light brown, stone common in the rivers of Africa, roots of coastal trees, bark and leaves of fruit tree (very similar to tree Sclerocarya birrea from West Africa), as well as leaves very similar to a plant Welwitschiales, coconut substrate.
Description of equipment: Hanging Filter SunSun HBL-501 (removed during shooting), Aquarium LED Lighting Rival Aqua ‘Spectral’ (was made to order) – 1750 lm.
Water parameters: Temperature is 24°C, pH is 6.8, GH is 10, KH is 7.
INFORMATION ABOUT BIOTOPE
Description of the area surrounding the biotope: A small creek near the Cross River, on the border of Cameroon and Nigeria. Turning to the south and separating the Nigerian Cross River State from the more western Ebonya and the Aqua Ibom flows into the Gulf of Guinea.
Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope: The main picture of the underwater landscape of such creeks is fine sand, stones, plants. Here you can often find rotten trees that have become a substrate. Around similar creeks grow shrubs and trees, so in the water are fallen trees and leaves. The presented biotope is shown in the season of the spring period, when the fish are more playful. Usually at this time, males are preparing to spawn, and show his other relatives who’s more beautiful and stronger.
Description of the parameters of the habitat: Water is different – from transparent to slightly brown. The average temperature 26. pH varies from 5.8 to 7.6, GH varies from 2 to 5, KH is 1-2.
List of fishes and invertebrates occurring in the nature biotope: Aphyosemion cameronense, Aphyosemion kunzi, Fundulopanchax walkeri spurelli, Epiplatys sangmelinensis, Epiplatys esekanus, Epiplatys sexfasciatus, Hemichromis bimaculatus, Synodontis schall.
List of plants found in the nature biotope: Crinum calamistratum, Anubias afzellii, Bolbitis heudelotii, Acacia albida.
