Description of decorations: Mangrove driftwood 3 pcs, natural dragon stone 3 pcs, river sand soil 1-2 mm, dry leaf of magnolia and almond.
Description of equipment: NovoLux 60 LED lamp for 8 watts, internal filter Tetra IN 400 plus 200-400 l/h, for aquariums 30-60 l.
Water parameters: Temperature 25 degrees C, pH 8, GH 12.
Additional info: Water change once a week 1/3, once a month washing the filter, 1 time per month adding peat infusion.
INFORMATION ABOUT BIOTOPE
Description of the area surrounding the biotope: Forest lake located in the forests of Cameroon. It gain water from rains and bottom underwater streams. Around there is a lot of vegetation, trees, the roots of the latter we can observe in the aquarium, as well as fallen dry leaves.
Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope: Driftwood, rare stones and fallen dry leaves lying on sand and silt can be observed at the bottom of the reservoir.
Description of the parameters of the habitat: Water with tannins, temperature 24-27 degrees C, pH 7.5.
List of fishes and invertebrates occurring in the nature biotope: Pelvicachromis pulcher, Aplocheilichthys normani, Hymenochirus boettgeri, Melanoides.
List of plants found in the nature biotope: Anubias barteri var. nana, Anubias barteri, Bolbitis heudelotii, Pistia stratiotes.
Threats to the ecology: Africa is a poor country, just like Russia, practically no one cares about the environment, and it’s a real shame to understand that in the future we will be able to observe certain species of fish, plants and invertebrates only in our aquariums, in nature they can disappear completely.
