Biotope description: This biotope is inspired by and represents the small piece of area at the margins of the Cuvery river. Substrate is a mixture of mud and bright sand. Rocks are dark colored with algae growth on them where a large variety of organisms thrive. The river here is shallow, moderate flowing,water is clear, well oxygenated with pH of 6.2 and TDS of 270. Wood include tiny to large pieces from live and dead trees which grow on the margin of the river. Leaf litter include bright to dark colored leaves from the trees and plants that grow on the margins of the river. Thick marginal and isolated patches of vegetation found along the river. Animals include a variety of snails, shrimps, fish and other organisms.
