INFORMATION ABOUT BIOTOPE

Description of the area surrounding the biotope:

Villagarzon is the closest village to the collection point in the department of putumayo.

The Río Caquetá originates in the Andes Cordillera.  When he arrived in Brazil he took the name of Japurá.  At 2,420 km long, it is an important tributary of the Amazon.  It is difficult to navigate, only between rapids.

Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope:

this biotope was a very small stream that ran through the grass, with a hole at the exit of a passage pipe under the road
