INFORMATION ABOUT BIOTOPE:

Description of the area surrounding the biotope: The source of the Nanshan stream originates from Dongshi Mountain, the main peak of the Taimu Mountain in Fujian. It is a hilly mountain and has a steep terrain. The climate is subtropical, with abundant species. The water level of the stream is about 0.5 meters all year round.
Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope: This river flows from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the mountain and joins Longxi. A large number of rivers wash up pebbles and sand, and moss is often attached to the stone surface.
Description of the parameters of the habitat: The water is crystal clear, and fish can be seen. The average temperature is 22-26 degrees Celsius, warm in winter and cool in summer
List of fishes and invertebrates occurring in the nature biotope: striped fishes, Mai’s sucking fishes, high body fishes.
List of plants found in the nature biotope: water orchid
Threats to the ecology: The severe destruction of the natural environment has a huge impact on the ecology of streams. Now we can only see bottomless streams and native fish in deep mountains or remote streams. I hope that the stream ecology in a few years will be like that of the 90s.
