Stones and gravel are collected by myself from Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do Province. Leaves are Sawtooth oak tree leaves, I collected this too. Drift woods are similar to nature biotope. Description of the area surrounding the biotope: The aquarium is set up based on the part of slowly flowing stream of the Gapyeong, North Han river basin, Gyeonggi-do Province, South Korea. This stream is close to Seoul, my home, so I visited and observed by myself. Depth is variety from 30 cm to 1.5 m. Water is clear and flows gently. The bottom is consists of bright colored sand, variety colored gravel and stones. There are many stones and attached algae. In the bottom, there are freshwater clam, and they are spawning sites of several fish species like Acheilognathus signifier, Rhodeus ocellatus, Rhodeus notatus, Rhodeus uyekii. And plants and tree like Vallisneria natans, Hydrilla verticillata, Phragmites japonica, Phragmites communis Trinius, Quercus acutissima are in side and in the water of this stream. So some branches, drift wood and leaves of oak trees are in the water.

Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope: The stream’s substrates consist of yellow and grey colored sand, variety colored gravel and stones. The stream’s side, there are partly sawtooth oak trees. So there are some branches, drift woods and oak leaves in the water.

Description of the parameters of the habitat: Temperature varies from 0.1℃ to 31.1℃, pH is varies from 7.5 to 9.1, TDS
is 107.

List of fishes: Zacco platypus, Pungtungia herzi, Nipponocypris koreanus, Coreoperca herzi, Pseudogobio esocinus, Acheilognathus signifier, Rhodeus ocellatus, Rhodeus notatus, Rhodeus uyekii, Rhinogobius brunneus, Paratya compressa, Semisulcospira libertine, Unio douglasiae, Pomacea canaliculata, Palaemon paucidens, Lanceolaria grayana, Lefua costata.

List of plants: Vallisneria natans, Hydrilla verticillata, Phragmites japonica, Phragmites communis Trinius, Quercus acutissima.

Threats to the ecology: Many of Korean rivers are troubled with channel straightening work by government. That work make freshwater clam hard to live, so fish that spawn in clam are threatened their life too. Besides alien species(especially Micropterus salmoides, Lepomis macrochirus) are threat to fish of Korean nature.
