Biotope description: The auarium was set up based on the Phang Nga biotope, Southern Thailand. Bodies of water in the region are very much covered with vegetation, have silty bottom and little depth. Due to the large amounts of organic residues water often has a light brown color.
Very well made biotope near to nature in the aquatic habitats in the Phang Nga Province and with the beautiful décor definitely deserves a placement among the first 10, but note: Egeria are not found here, nor (or very rarely) Ceratopteris cornuta.
This is an interesting tank, however for me there is too much variability in it. Left side is composed mainly of stemmed plants, central part is formed by vertical lines of reeds, and the right side is rather chaotic and sort of “curly” because of the roots. I try to imagine when the tank would look balanced, and I think it would be when the right part would be removed, and replaced by composition similar to the central part. Then this tank would be great.
