INFORMATION ABOUT BIOTOPE
Description of the area surrounding the biotope: Itani a river of northern South America rising in the Tumukumar Mountains and flowing northward through tropical rain forests with waterfalls and rapids in the upper and middle reaches. The downstream and the estuary are broad. The river winds northward through dense rainforests, forming the boundary between Suriname and French Guiana, and eventually empties Hallibye into the Atlantic Ocean 30 km below Saint Laurent (French Guiana) and Albina (Suriname). The river has a total length of 724 km, a basin area of 62,000 square kilometers, an average annual flow of 1850 cubic meters per second, and a runoff of 58.3 billion cubic meters.
Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope: The water is abundant and near the equator. It is a tropical rain forest climate with abundant species. The waters are yellowish and muddy, but the fish like the environment. The river bottom is mostly silt, driftwood and deciduous leaves. It is very suitable for fish habitat and breeding. When the rainy season comes, the river floods the river bank, which was originally the habitat of birds. In a flash, it becomes a paradise for fish. During the rainy season, the deepest water level rises about 10M. Many branches insert into the water, and a large number of branches and leaves in the water, creating an underwater forest.
Description of the parameters of the habitat: The sunshine time is about 5 hours in the rainy season, less than 7 hours in the dry season, the water quality is about 6-6.5 in the rainy season, and the temperature is about 24 degrees Celsius.
