Description of the area surrounding the biotope: Mamberamo is a river in the north-west of New Guinea, in the Indonesian province of Papua. It is the widest river in Indonesia. It flows into the Pacific Ocean. Has many ducts.

Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope: In this aquarium a section of the Mambero River was recreated, flowing through one of the provinces of Papua New Guinea. Neon rainbowfish can be found not only in the fast streams of the main river, but also in the surrounding wetlands with a slow current, where there are many aquatic plants, driftwood and flooded roots of coastal plants. In this work a small dam is shown, formed by branches fallen into the river with fern growing on them. That is why the current in this place is very weak.

Description of the parameters of the habitat: The water is transparent. The temperature is 22-28°C, pH is 6.5-7.8, GH is 8.0-18.0.
